11 + Booster Classes at the Kitchen in Croxley with Star Tutors
The Kitchen is a family friendly venue and as such we’re always looking for ways in which we can support parents and their children.
We were recently approached by Ruth Lee from Star Tutors, and we’re thrilled and delighted to announce a collaboration which we believe will be of huge interest to many people here in Croxley. I’m going to let Ruth do the talking now…
“It is no secret that in Hertfordshire, the Grammar School system is alive and kicking. State schools don’t explicitly teach the tricks of Verbal Reasoning so what can parents do?
Ruth and Linda have created a bespoke programme of learning that directly addresses what schools do not…synonyms, antonyms, homonyms and lots of Mathematical concepts too! Coupled with a healthy snack before (and after if you so wish!) we have devised an affordable approach to this dilemma.
Dates: 5.9, 12.9, 19.9, 26.9, 3.10, 17.10 (Total = £90.00)
Every Tuesday from 4-5.15 – We realise that it can take a little time in the traffic to collect your children. Have a coffee if you are early!
Cost: At £15 per session this is half the price of a private tutor, yet with a class size of 10 and two tutors at times, this retains the individual approach that a one-one teacher can give.
We will teach your children the main concepts needed to pass the 11+. It is expected that your son/daughter practises outside of the lesson; we recommend books which your child can take home to practice in, between sessions. A set of VR cards is available for you to help test and develop your child’s vocabulary. You can either print them from www.startutors.info or alternatively, buy a ready-made set to work with.
