Baking Classes at The Kitchen have been popular ever since we opened. Every school holiday sees The Studio and sometimes the shop filled with young people getting to grips with cupcakes, cookies and all kinds of fondant modelling and decorating.
Saturday Kitchen takes this a step further as we share recipes for our legendary Lemon Drizzle, perfect Victoria Sponge and many other classic bakes.
The programme for the coming weeks is as follows:
May 6 Cupcakes – bake six cupcakes and decorate with swirls of brightly coloured icing.
May 13 Chocolate Cake – bake a delicious sponge cake and fill with chocolate buttercream.
May 20 Victoria Sponge – the classic favourite, filled with jam and fluffy buttercream.
May 27 Lemon Drizzle – you won’t believe it’s gluten and dairy free!
June 3 Kirsty from The Choccie Drop will be here with her wonderful chocolate making class.
June 10 Viennese Whirls – If you like Mr Kipling’s you will LOVE ours!
June 17 Scones – learn to make our legendary scones, perfect to serve with jam and clotted cream.
June 24 NO SATURDAY KITCHEN due to a private party over lunchtime. Sorry.
July 1 Rainbow cake – come and get messy with our wonderful selection of colours!
July 8 Viennese Whirls – another opportunity to bake these classic biscuits, always popular.
