Here’s our new friend – the Building Control Inspector. To be honest I am not 100% sure that is his official title but it does make for a good blog post heading!
He is lovely. He visited us in The Kitchen yesterday and seemed genuinely interested in all we are doing and impressed with the work Mr Filled With Love has already done. The cable trays are all in, conduit is going up and we have a pulling party on Sunday (perfectly respectable and involving nothing more sinister than family members up ladders feeding cables through long black tubes whilst drinking lots of tea and eating Lemon Drizzle cake)
The space appears huge now there is nothing in it…
…this time next week however expect to see the concrete screed levelling the floor and partition walls dividing The Kitchen from The Storeroom and The Cake Decorating Studio – not to mention The Office!
It’s been truly amazing to feel so much love and encouragement from everyone – whether by commenting here, on FB and Twitter, or stopping us in the street to chat. We aim to make The Kitchen a real asset to the community we’ve lived in for 34 years and look forward to welcoming you all there!
