We’re not quite ready to talk about Christmas. No promises though – we may do so in the next week or so!
We ARE however more than ready to discuss Spooky Season.
At The Kitchen we love to celebrate the season of autumnal mists and mellow fruitfulness, of pecan pie & pumpkin spiced lattes.
We have fun making models of black cats & fondant bats. We create sugar paste creepy crawlies and can almost hear the cackle of the friendly witches we make to top cupcakes.
Nothing too bloody or terrifying. No celebration of evil. A reminder that light will always shine in the darkness.
And a chance to have fun with dressing up, colouring, cupcake decorating, competitions and some very special Spooky Treats.
So … Why so soon and Why shop early… ?
Like every other Small Business, cash flow is an issue here at The Kitchen. We need to buy the ingredients to create the amazing bakes we have planned, but when we don’t know how many we will sell we have to be careful. Mystery Boxes are popular but as I am sure you understand they often mean something went wrong in my calculations of how much cake we would sell or what would be popular!
Halloween falls on the Saturday at the end of Half Term this year. Perfect timing for us here! Throughout Half Term we will have activities available including colouring sheets, competitions & cupcake decorating. Our cakes will be getting a creepy makeover and expect some seasonal lunchtime specials too!
Halloween Afternoon Tea is the SAME PRICE as last year – this isn’t a TRICK! We want everyone to enjoy a TREAT! We would really appreciate it if you could book early as it not only helps our cash flow but also makes planning a whole lot easier.
